Early Purple Sprouting Broccoli

I am assuming this is my early purple sprouting broccoli!

It is planted in the bed with all the other over-wintered
cabbage family plants and the cauliflower is dead
and the kale is obvious as are the cabbages
so it must be early purple sprouting broccoli.

The seeds were started last summer and
the plants went in the ground in August or
maybe even in September - it is meant to be grown
over-winter and harvested in the spring.

Can hardly wait to eat this, I'm wondering if the leaves are edible?

It did just fine during our coldest spell and a bit of snow
although our coldest wasn't as bad this winter as the past
few have been.

The seeds from this are from
Baker Creek Heirloom and can be found here.
